Originally bred by Yates in Tasmania in the 1920s, Beetroot Derwent Globe produces deep red, globe-shaped roots. The flesh is deliciously tender, juicy and sweet.
Fast maturing, and grows all year round in most climates. Enjoy it raw in summer salads, or baked to perfection in a winter roast.
Plant in a sunny well-drained position. Great companion plant for Beans, broccoli, lettuce, onions, potatoes and peas. Pick young leaves and add to salad mixers.
